Kikkerland
Branding strategy, Graphic Identity Standards manual, logo redesign, packaging system, Brand Spirit Book

Kikkerland Design began 30+ years ago, as an importer of fine, designed goods that are refreshingly different from what others sold. Since inception, the company evolved, but the driving principle remains the same: bringing to market home, office, and gift items that are both functional and delightful – things that you don’t see every day, yet you can use every day – often just little things that add a smile to a moment of everyday life.

Red Square Design and a team of Brand Specialists articulated this position: for Kikkerland to remain successful, the end consumers must become familiar with the Kikkerland brand – the name and reputation, not just their products – so that they begin to seek Kikkerland products deliberately, as well as impulsively.

To achieve this we improved readability of the original logo, created a standardized packaging system, wrote and produced Graphic Identity Standards manual together with the Brand Spirit Book that is about embracing and presenting a consistent brand – a persona that reflects Kikkerland’s organic  spirit.
